# quick start

GetRekt is in development. These are the intended steps once a deployment has passed the published release checks. The current demo is a simulation; it cannot prove a deposit or position exists on Sui.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

## Connect the right wallets

Use a Sui wallet for your Sui account and gas. For a deposit from Ethereum or Base, also connect the EVM wallet that owns the source-chain USDC. Confirm the selected network and receiving Sui address before signing.

The source account and Sui account are different addresses. Do not send an ordinary EVM token transfer to a Sui address.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

## Bring native USDC

You can use native USDC already on Sui, or bridge native USDC from a supported source chain through CCTP V2. A bridge transfer consists of a source burn, an attestation, and a Sui receive transaction. Wait until the native Sui USDC is actually received. [Deposit guide](broken://pages/de1a2eeca92448704c708abcce1333975b188af9).

Testnet uses Sepolia, Base Sepolia and Sui testnet. Test assets have no mainnet value. [Wallet setup](broken://pages/55b2e884ebb2f1dd09fdf0e33ed80efbe523555e).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

## Review the position

Choose the supported market, Buy or Sell, margin, leverage and an acceptable execution-price bound. The current market implementation is BTC. The minimum margin in the current repository is 1 USDC; risk and notional checks also apply.

Read the liquidation threshold and profit adjustment before signing. The 2000× target ceiling is only available if all price-quality checks pass. A failed or expired quote must be refreshed.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

## Sign and verify

Approve the Sui transaction. An execution receipt and on-chain position are the proof of opening; a UI notification is not sufficient. Current wallet flows require explicit signatures. [Wallet sessions](broken://pages/9fbc9a1fb0f125983ef60240612b6ccad561ff67).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

## Close, claim or continue

Close the whole position when permitted. Returned cash can be used or withdrawn. Unpaid profits remain FIFO claims; they are not a freely withdrawable USDC balance. Claims may be used as collateral, and can be lost. [Wins and losses](broken://pages/242f1d94fc901e76e2e1958ee07625490513b9e6).
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.getrekt.trade/quick-start.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
